MASCULINITY IN THE AGE OF FEMINISM
At Wolf & Wilhelmine, we kicked off the exploration of HOWL 2018: THE GREY EDITION with a Feminism in Flux event — an intimate dinner where we invited a range of accomplished women to reflect on the evolution of feminism one year after the Women’s March. Then, we explored the other side of the conversation by bringing together a male-identified group to have a candid conversation about modern masculinity — the way masculinity is changing, breaking and evolving before our eyes.
MASCULINITY IN THIS SHIFTING LANDSCAPE
Men are losing, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. This is the moment to redefine masculinity and create a culture of self expression — in all its forms.
Men want permission to explore and experiment. Men are looking for the space to explore new ways of relating to themselves and their world.
Ultimately, masculinity needs a movement. There's no clear model of breaking free from convention or redefining masculinity on new terms.
HOWL 2018: THE GREY EDITION : This year’s edition of HOWL will explore grey, as a concept that invites self-definition, sparks reinvention and instills balance. What might the world look like if we could all see more grey? How might the world change if we all lived more in the grey? What would we lose? What would we gain?
